Zhang Yesui, male, Han nationality, is a native of Tianmen City, Hubei Province. He was born in 1953, and graduated from the Beijing Foreign Studies University. He studied at the London School of Economics from 1975 to 1976 and served as vice-minister of Foreign Affairs from 2003 to 2008. From 2008-2010 he was China's Ambassador to the United Nations and from 2010 to 2013 he was China's Ambassador to the United States.
He is now an Alternate Member of the 18th CPC Central Committee and Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
