Zhang Changkuan, male, Han nationality, is a native of Jiangsu province. He was born in 1954, graduated from Hohai University, and obtained a master's degree in coastal engineering in 1985.He was appointed president of Hohai University in 2003.
Professor Zhang is engaged in the teaching and research of coastal evolution, and he led over thirty projects of harbor engineering at Lianyungang Port, Hangzhou Bay of Shanghai, and several nuclear power stations. He won the first prize of the Scientific and Technological Progress Award of the Ministry of Water Resources, the second prize of the Scientific and Technological Progress Award of Colleges and Universities in China, and the third prize of the Jiangsu Scientific and Technological Progress Award.
