In 2010, he was promoted as Lieutenant General, PLA. From 2008 to 2012 he was Director of the Political Department of 2nd Artillery Force, PLA. From 2012 to 2016 he wais Deputy Director of the General Political Department of the PLA. He is an Alternate Member of the 18th CPC Central Committee. In 2015 he was promoted to General, PLA. In 2016 he became Political Commissar of the Central Theater Command.
