Xu Xianping, male, Han nationality, is a native of Longhui, Hunan province. He was born in 1954, joined the CPC, and obtained a doctorate. He served as general secretary of the economic planning committee of the Hunan Provincial CPC Committee, and he became vice-governor of Hunan province in 2003. In 2009, he was appointed Vice-Minister of the State Development and Reform Commission.
