Xu Hongmeng, male, Han nationality, is a native of Suizhong County of Liaoning Province. He was born in 1951. General Xu graduated from Navy Command Academy, of academic qualifications equivalent to a master degree specialized in military strategy science. Xu served as Commander of East China Sea Fleet of Navy and Deputy-Commander of Nanjing Military Region of PLA from 2006 to 2009.
