Xing Shizhong, male, Han nationality, is a native of Licheng, Shandong Province. He was born in 1937, graduated from Nanjing Engineering School in 1956, and joined the CPC in 1957. He holds the rank of general.
Xing Shizhong has spent 50 years in the PLA after joining in 1953. He has served as a staff officer, a regiment commander, a division commander, and as a deputy commander. On a national level, he was a member of the 15th CPC Central Committee.
Xing was president of the University of National Defense from 1995-2002. He is currently a member of the 10th NPC Standing Committee.
