Biography

Xia Deren, male, Han nationality, is a native of Dalian City, Liaoning Province. He was born in 1955, entered the work force in 1982, joined the CPC in 1985, and obtained a doctorate of finance in 1990.

Xia spent over a decade at the Dongbei University of Finance and Economics as a professor and administrator. From 2009 to 2011, he was Secretary of CPC Dalian City Committee of Liaoning Province. From 2011 to 2013 he served as Deputy Secretary of the Liaoning CPC Provincial Committee. He is now an Alternate Member of the 18th CPC Central Committee.
