Xi Guohua, male, Han nationality, is was born in 1951, graduated from Hefei University of Technology, and obtained a master's degree from Shanghai Jiaotong University. He holds the title of senior engineer. Xi has been trained in the United States and other countries abroad.
Xi Guohua has had a successful career in the telecommunications industry. He has served as deputy director of the Shanghai Posts and Telecommunications Administration and chairman of the Shanghai Bell Company. He was elected vice-minister of information in 2001.
He is a member of the 17th CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and in 2011 he became Deputy Director of the State Internet Information Office. From 2012 to 2015 he was President of China Mobile Communications Corporation.
