Wang Zhibao, male, Han nationality, is a native of Zhaoyuan, Shandong Province. He was born in 1938, graduated from the Northeast Institute of Electric Power in 1963, and joined the CPC in 1965.
Wang Zhibao has spent much of his career involved in the forestry and conservation administration. He began this work in 1975 as the deputy-chief of the machinery and electrical division of the Yikeshi Forestry Administration. In 1986 he was appointed director of the planning department of the Ministry of Forestry and in 1992 he became vice-minister of the Ministry of Forestry. His work on conservation issues include his post as president of the China Wildlife Conservation Association, a post he held in 1998.
Wang is a member of the 9th CPPCC National Committee and the director of the State Forestry Bureau.
