Tao Xinkang, male, Han nationality.
Tao established a small furniture factory with an investment of 10,000 yuan in 1979. The workshop became a factory in 1986. Since using homemade raw materials could save more money than using imported wooden materials, Tao Xinkang traveled and lived in the forest areas in northeast China for years in order to secure the wood supply for in his enterprise. Currently, his enterprise - New Climax has constructed forests of its own in west China. The sales volume of the group totaled to 5 billion yuan last year. Tao Xinkang was listed in the 15th place among the 100 richest men on Chinese Mainland by Forbes in the year 2002.
