Biography
Peng Qingyuan, male, Han nationality, is a native of Nanzhao, Henan Province. He was born in l920, graduated from the Department of Economics of Wuhan University, and joined the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomingtang.
Peng spent the first 30 years of his career as an academic in the field of economics, first as a professor and then as an academic administrator. He has also served in local government, been involved in both the NPC and the CPPCC at the national levels, and long been active as an official of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomingtang. He is also the author of several books on economic topics.
