Biography
Hong Mengmin, male, is a native of Linhai, Zhejiang Province. He graduated from 1st Medical College of Shanghai and has been a researcher at the Shanghai Botanical Physiological Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was elected academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1991.
Hong is a molecular geneticist. Since 1985 he has concentrated his research on botanical molecular heredity.
