Biography
Ding Xuedong, male, Han Nationality, was born in 1960, is a native of Jiangsu Province. Began to work in 1977, joined the CPC in 1984. He majored in Finance in School of Financial Science Institute of Minister of Finance and obtained Master's degree, and he then received a Doctor Degree of Finance. He was Vice-Minister of Ministry of Finance from 2008 to 2010.
He was Deputy Director of the National Committee for Disaster Reduction. He is Deputy Director of the State Council Leading Group for Poverty Alleviation and Development. In July 2013, he was named Chairman and CEO of the China Investment Corporation (CIC), the country's sovereign wealth fund and in 2017 he was became Deputy Secretary-General of State Council. He is a member of the 19th CPC Central Committee.
