Biography
Chen Junyong, male, Han nationality, is a native of Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. He was born in Shanghai and graduated from Wuhan Surveying and Mapping College in 1960. He received a doctorate degree from Graz University in Austria in 1981.
Chen is an expert on geodesy and has been consultant to the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping and director of the Science and Technology Committee. He was elected academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1991.
