Xu, Fenlin, male, Han nationality, is a native of Jintan City, Jiangsu Province. He was born in 1953, started to work and joined the PLA in 1972. Xu graduated from Party School of the CPC Central Committee, majored at Economics Management and earned a BA degree through long-distance teaching program. He serves as Chief of Staff of the Guangzhou Military Region since 2007 and was promoted to Lieutenant General in 2008.
