Zhuang Fenggan, male, Han nationality, is a native of Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. Zhuang was born in 1925 and graduated from Shanghai Jiaotong University.
Zhuang began his career as a researcher and professor. He later held research and management positions within the Ministry of Astronautics Industry. He also held several leadership positions in various aeronautical and astronautical societies. In 1994, he became deputy director of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Physics and Mathematics Division. He later became deputy director of the science and technology committee of China Aerospace Corporation.
Zhuang was a standing committee member of the 5th, 8th and 9th CPPCC National Committees.
