Biography
Zhu Xianmo, male, Han nationality, is a native of Chongming, Shanghai. He graduated from the Agricultural Chemistry Department of Central University in 1940, and became researcher, and later, honorary head of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Ministry of Water Resources Water and Soil Conservation Institute. He was elected academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1991.
An expert on pedology, Zhu has systematically studied soils, soil erosion and ecology.
