Biography

Zhao Xiujian, male, Han nationality, is a native of Xiangtan, Hunan province. He was born in 1959, graduated from Wuhan University and obtained a doctorate degree from Kyoto University in Japan. Professor Zhao Xiujian is one of the youngest experts with outstanding achievements in Hubei Province. He is a recipient of the special government allowance from the State Council. Professor Zhao has won awards from the National Outstanding Youth Fund and the Trans-century Talent Fund of the Ministry of Education.

The subject team led by professor Zhao Xiujian includes 3 professors, 3 associate professors, 1 experimentalist, 7 doctors and 16 postgraduates. His current research projects include the infrared fiber optic material, non-crystalline photoelectrical information material, arcology-functioned glass material, nonlinear optic glass material, computer simulation and the material design of glass structural property and glass founding, among other subjects.
