Xu Shiqun, male, Han nationality, is a native of Chongqing, Sichuan province. He was born in 1940, joined the CPC in 1960, graduated from Southwest Normal University, and became an associate professor of translation. Xu became deputy director of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Sichuan province in 2001. He was a deputy to the 6th NPC.
