Biography

Xie Fuzhan, male, Han nationality, is a native of Tianmen City, Hubei province. He was born in 1954, and obtained a master's degree from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Xie worked as a researcher for the Development Research Center of the State Council until 1999, when he became deputy director. In 2006 he became director of the National Bureau of Statistics. In 2007, he became a member of the 17th CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and in 2008 he became Director of the Research Office of the State Council.
