Wu Zuqiang, male, Han nationality, is a native of Beijing and whose ancestral home is in Wujin, Jiangsu Province. He was born in 1927, joined the CPC in 1949, and graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music in 1952.
Wu Zuqiang spent his career in music as a composer, educator, and member of several musical and artistic associations including the Chinese Musicians Association and China Federation of Literary and Art Circles. In addition to his work as a composer, Wu is the author of Musical Form and Analysis of Music Works. His father is Wu Jingzhou, a founder of the Beijing Palace Museum and his elder brother is Wu Zuguang.
Wu is the vice-president of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
