Wei Hong, male, Han nationality, is a native of Yinan County, Shandong Province. He was born in 1954, entered the work force in 1970, and joined the CPC in 1973. From 2007 to 2013, he was Vice-Governor of Sichuan Province. He was Governor of Sichuan Province from 2013 to 2016. He was removed from his posts as governor and deputy secretary of Sichuan Province in 2016 for "serious violations of discipline."
