Biography

Wang Xudong, male, Han nationality, is a native of Yancheng, Jiangsu Province. He was born in 1946, joined the CPC in 1972, and graduated from Tianjin College for Advanced Studies in Science and Technology.

Wang's career has alternated between leadership positions in Tianjin, the Ministry of Electronics Industry and Hebei Province. In the early 1990's, Wang held Party positions in the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee, and in June of 2000 he became Secretary of the CPC Hebei Provincial Committee.

Wang Xudong was an alternate member of the 15th CPC Central Committee and a member of the 16th CPC Central Committee. He is currently a member of the 17th CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the State Electricity Regulatory Commission.
