Wan Shaofen, female, Han nationality, is a native of Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. She was born in 1930, graduated from Zhongzheng University and joined the CPC in 1952.
Wan began her career in the CYLC branch of the Nanchang City Committee. She later became a standing committee member of the CPC Jianxi Provincial Committee. In 1988, she became deputy head of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee. She later served on the preliminary working committee of the preparatory committee for Hong Kong SAR.
Wan was a member of the 12th and 13th CPC Central Committees, deputy to 14th CPC National Congress and a member of the 8th and 9th NPC Standing Committees.
