Biography

Ning Bin, male, Han nationality, is a native of Jishan County, Shanxi Province. He was born in 1959 and graduated from the Telecommunication Department of Northern Jiaotong University in 1982. He received a maseter's degree in engineering from the same school in 1987 and became deputy Party secretary of the Graduate Department and chief of the Foreign Affairs Department. He was visiting scholar at Brunel University in London in 1991-1992, and in 1997 became vice-president of Northern Jiaotong University.

Ning is a member of several organizations, including the Western Returned Scholars Association and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. He is vice-chairman of the Beijing Railway Society and the China Traffic Engineering Society.
