Li Jiheng, male, Han nationality, is a native of Guigang City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. He was born in 1957, joined the CPC in 1976, studied at Guangxi University from 1976 to 1979, and started to work in 1979. He is a postgraduate of the Party school and a senior economist. Li has held leading government posts in Pingnan county and Guiping county from 1987 to 1991. In the mid-1990s, he served as secretary of the CPC committees of Yulin city and Nanning city. In 2001 he was elected chairman of the standing committee of the Nanning City People's Congress.
Li Jiheng was an alternate member of the 15th, 16th and 17th CPC Central Committees a member of the 18th CPC Central Committee. From 2012 to 2015 he was Governor of Yunan Province and from 2014 to 2016 he was Secretary of the Yunnan CPC Provincial Committee. in 2016 he became Secretary of the CPC Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional Committee. In 2017 he was named Director of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region People's Congress Standing Committee and a member of the 19th CPC Central Committee.
