Biography
Hai Wen, male, Han nationality, was born in 1952, graduated from Beijing University and obtained a doctorate from the University of California at Davis in 1991. He lectured at various universities in California and became a leading contributor to the study of China's economy in the USA, where he served as president of the China Economists Society in 1993. He became deputy director of the China Center for Economic Research of Beijing University in 1994.
