Biography
Guo Guichuan, male, Han nationality, is a native of Xin County, Shanxi Province. He was born in 1952, is a member of the CPC and a graduate of Shanxi University. He studied at Cambridge University in the United Kingdom and did research in Europe, Asia and the United States. He served as chairman of the Shanxi Dialectics of Nature Institute.
Guo remained at Shanxi University throughout his career - as professor, chief of the Science Philosophy Research Center and vice-president. He became Party Secretary in 1999 and president of Shanxi University in 2000.
