Biography
Chen Guangwen, male, Han nationality, is a native of Dachang, Hebei Province. Chen was born in 1936 and joined the CPC in 1955.
Chen spent the bulk of his career in leadership roles at the district level in Beijing, becoming deputy secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee in 1992. He was also appointed as a member of the Hong Kong SAR Preparatory Committee. In 1998 he became chairman of the CPPCC Beijing Municipal Committee.
Chen was a member of the 9th CPPCC National Committee.
