Ai Zhisheng was born in 1928, Han nationality, a native of Hanyan County, Hunan Province. He began working in 1948 and joined the CPC in 1948. He graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering, Tsinghua University. He was Director of the State Administration of Radio Film and Television. He was an alternate member of the 12th CPC Central Committee and a member of the 13th and 14th CPC Central Committees.
