Zhang Ruimin, male, Han nationality, is a native of Laizhou City, Shandong Province. He received a master's degree in business administration from China Science and Technology University in 1995.

Zhang is a senior engineer who has had a long involvement with the Party. He was a member of the 14th, 15th, and 16th CPC National Congresses. Zhang won the State Award for Excellent CPC Members in 2001.

He is currently an alternate member of the 17th CPC Central Committee. Along with his Party experience, Zhang has been involved with the Haier Group. He was the chief executive officer and chairman of the board of directors at the group.
