Biography

Xie Zhenhua, male, Han nationality, is a native of Tianjin Municipality. He was born in 1949, joined the CPC in 1969 and graduated from the Engineering Physics Department of Qinghua University.

Party and government positions in the environmental protection fields have occupied most of Xie's career. In the 1980s, Xie worked in Beijing in environmental organizations that were ultimately combined to form the State Environmental Protection Administration. In 1993, he became director of the State Environmental Protection Administration. Xie is also a senior official in various national-level environmental protection organizations.

Xie is a Vice-Minister of the State Development and Reform Commission. He was a member of the 16th CPC Central Committee and is currently a member of the 17th CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.
