Wu Aiying, female, is a native of Changle, Shandong Province. She was born in 1951, joined the CPC in 1970, graduated from the Department of Politics at Shandong University and entered the work force in 1973.
Wu held various Party positions in Shandong province early in her career. She was also active in the CYLC, both at the prefectural and provincial levels. A member of several women's groups, Wu later became vice-governor of Shandong. She became Minister of Justice in 2005 (re-elected in 2013) and served until 2017.
She was a a member of the 17th CPC Central Committee and is now a member of the 18th CPC Central Committee.
