Biography
Wei Liucheng, male, Han nationality, is a native of Miyang County, Henan Province. He was born in 1946, entered the work force in 1970 and joined the CPC in 1973. He began his studies at Beijing Petroleum College in 1965.
Wei was governor of Hainan province from 2004 to 2007 and an alternate member of the 16th CPC Central Committee. He is currently a member of the standing Committee of the Hainan CPC Provincial Committee, Chairman of Hainan Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee, and a member of the 17th CPC Central Committee.
