Biography
Tian Jiyun, male, Han nationality, is a native of Feicheng, Shandong Province. He was born in 1929 and joined the CPC in 1945.
Tian spent most of his career in the financial department of Guizhou Province. In 1969, he transferred to Sichuan Province. A prominent political leader, Tian served both as vice-premier and secretary-general of the State Council.
Tian was a member of the 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th CPC Central Committees. He was a member of the Secretariat of the 12th CPC Central Committee and a member of the Politburo of the 13th, 14th, and 15th CPC Central Committees. He was also a delegate to the 8th and 9th NPCs.
