Born: 1945

Biography

Luo Qingquan, male, Han nationality, is a native of Jiangling County, Hubei province. He was born in 1945, began to work in 1968 and joined the CPC in 1975. Luo was awarded a master's degree by the Central Party School as an in-service student.

He served as an acting mayor and mayor of Yichang City, and deputy secretary and secretary of the Yichang Municipal Party Committee of Hubei Province from 1985 to 1992. Luo served as governor of Hubei province from 2003- 2007.

Luo was a member of the 16th CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and a member of the 16th CPC Central Committee.

From 2007-2010 he was Secretary of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee and from 2008 to 2010, he was Chairman of the standing committee of Hubei People's Congress. He is now a member of the 17th CPC Central Committee and in 2010 he became Deputy Director of 11th NPC Environmental & Resources Protection Committee.
