Biography

Li Zuocheng, male, Han nationality, is a native of Anhua County, Hunan Province. He was born in 1953, joined the PLA in 1970, and joined the CPC in 1972. From 1997 to 2009, he was Major General of PLA. From 2009 to 2015, he was Lieutenant General of PLA. In July 2015, he was promoted to General of PLA. He was Deputy Commander of Chengdu Military of PLA from 2007 to 2013. From 2013 to 2015, he was Chengdu Military Region, PLA. On Jan 1st, 2016, he was promoted as the commander of the PLA Army Command. In 2017 Li was named Chief of the General Staff of the PLA and member of the 19th CPC Central Military Commission. He is also a Member of the 19th CPC Central Committee.
