Xu Linping, male, Han nationality, is a native of Shimen County, Hunan Province. He was born in 1957, joined the PLA in 1972, and joined the CPC in 1975. He was promoted Major General of PLA in 2007. From 2011-2014, he was Commander of 38th Army Group of Beijing Military Area of PLA. In November 2012, he was elected as Alternate Member, 18th CPC, Central Committee. Since Jan. 2014, he is Vice-Commander, PLA, Regions, Lanzhou Military Region.
