Zhou Ji 周济

Biography

Zhou Ji, male, Han nationality, is a native of Shanghai. He was born in 1946, joined the CPC in 1976, and graduated from Tsinghua University. Zhou acquired a doctorate from New York State University in the USA. Zhou Ji has served as director of several technical institutes of Huazhong Science and Tehcnology University. He was deputy to the 9th NPC.

Zhou Ji is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and served as Minister of Education and Secretary of the Leading Party Members Group of that ministry from 2003-2009. He is a member of the 17th CPC Central Committee and in 2010 he became President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
