Biography

Zheng Lizhong, male, is a native of Xiapu County, Fujian province. He was born in 1951, joined the CPC in 1978, and obtained a master's of economics. Zheng held leading positions in the Mines and Geology Department of his native Fujian province, and served as director of the provincial planning commission in 1998.

Zheng Lizhong was elected secretary of the CPC Xiamen City Committee in 2002, and he served as a member of the standing committee of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee in 2001. He was an alternate member of the 16th CPC Central Committee. He is currently an alternate member of the 17th CPC Central Committee and Vice-Minister of Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council.
