Biography

Zhai Taifeng, male, Han nationality, is a native of Tangshang, Hebei Province. He was born in 1933 and joined the CPC in 1949.

Since he became a member of the CPC, Zhai has been involved in several leadership positions with the Party . He was the deputy secretary for the CPC at the Beijing No. 2 Machine Tool Party. Zhai later became the director of the general office of the publicity department with the CPC Central Committee.

Along with his Party assignments, Zhai also has considerable experience with academic foundations. In 1993, he became Vice-President of the Foundation for Research of Friends of China. In 1996, he was made Vice-President of the Chinese Writers Association; the same year, he became a member of the association‘s secretariat.

In 1997, he was elected a member of the standing committee of the 9th CPPCC National Committee. He served as a delegate to the 15th CPC National Congress.
