Biography

Xin Chunying, female, Han nationality, is a native of Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. She was born in 1956, entered the work force in 1973, graduated from Law Department of Jilin University with a Bachelor Degree in 1978 and from Chinese Academy of Social Science with a Master Degree in Law in 1981. She served as Secretary of CPC Party Committee of Chinese Academy of Social Science Law Institute and Politics Institute and Deputy Director of these two Institutes from 1998 to 2001. From 2001 to 2003, she quit the Posts of Secretary of CPC Party Committee and the Vice Director of Chinese Academy of Social Science Politics Institute. Since 2003, she serves as Member of 10th-11th NPC Standing Committee, Member of 10th-11th NPC Law Committee, Vice-Chairman of 10th-11th NPC Legislative Affairs Committee. She was also Member of 11th NPC Internal and Judicial Affairs Committee. In 2017 she became a member of the 19th CPC Central Committee.
