Biography

Wang Xiaofeng is a native of Cili, Hunan Province. He was born in 1944, joined the CPC in 1973, and graduated from the Beijing Mining Institute.

Wang's entire career has been spent in his native province of Hunan. From 1980 to 1983, Wang served as director of the Changde July 1st Machinery Plant, Hunan and in the early 1990's he held Party positions in the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee and corresponding government positions in the Hunan Provincial government, becoming governor in 1998.

Wang Xiaofeng was an alternate member of the 14th CPC Central Committee and a member of the 15th and 16th CPC Central Committees.
