Wang Mengkui, male, Han nationality, is a native of Wenxian, Henan Province. He was born in 1938, joined the CPC in 1956 and graduated from Beijing University.
Wang spent most of his career as an economic and planning researcher. He spent over 10 years as a researcher or in leadership positions in the CPC. In 1987, he became a member of the Economic Research Center of the State Planning Commission. He later became director of the Development Research Center of the State Council.
Wang was an alternate member of the 14th CPC Central Committee and a member of the 15th CPC Central Committee.
