Wang Jianmin, male, Han nationality, is a native of Luannan, Hebei province. He was born in 1942, joined the PLA in 1962, and joined the CPC in 1963. Wang was promoted to the rank of major general in 1994, and promoted to the rank of lieutenant general in 2000. Wang has served as army commander of the 23rd and 39th Group Armies of the PLA. He was elected commander of the Chengdu Military Region in 2003.
Wang is a member of the 16th CPC Central Committee.
