Biography

Wang Guangya, male, Han nationality, is a native of Jiangsu Province. He was born in 1950.

After study in Wales and at the London School of Economics and Politics, Wang's career was divided between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chinese Mission to the UN in New York, broken by a year of study at Johns Hopkins University.

He served as China's ambassador to the United Nations from 2003-2008 and is now an alternate member of the 17th CPC Central Committee and Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
