Biography
Wang Anshun, male, Han nationality, is a native of Henan Province, Hui County. He was born in 1957, attended working in 1975 and joined CPC in 1984. At his career beginning, he worked in oil Exploration. After holding positions in Land and Resources Ministry, he held leading party posts in Gansu Province and Shanghai Municipality.
He was an alternate member of the 17th CPC Central Committee and Deputy Secretary of the Beijing CPC Municipal Committee. In 2011 he became Chairman of Beijing CPPCC Municipal Committee and in 2012 he was appointed Acting Mayor of Beijing.
He served as Mayor of Beijing from 2013 to 2016. In 2015 he was named Executive Chairman, Chinese Olympic Committee, Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics Organizational Committee.
Wang Anshun is a member of the 18th CPC Central Committee.
