Biography
Sun Yuxi, male, Han nationality, is a native of Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. He graduated from Beijing Foreign Studies University in 1978 and studied at the London School of Economics. He began his diplomatic career as interpreter to the Chinese ambassador in Paris and served in embassies in Pakistan, Cambodia and the People's Republic of Korea. He had two tours in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was named ambassador to Afghanistan in 2002.
