Biography
Sun Ying, male, Han nationality, is a native of Baodi County, Tianjin. He was born in 1936, joined the CPC in 1956 and graduated from Shanxi Teachers' College in 1958.
Sun served in several political offices in Shanxi Province before he became deputy secretary of the CPC Gansu Provincial Committee in 1988. In 1997, he became governor of Gansu Province. He was later appointed director of the Party History Research Center in 2000.
Sun was a member of the 15th CPC Central Committee. He is a deputy to the 9th NPC.
