Biography Highlight
Sun Jianguo, male, Han nationality, is a native of Wuqiao City, Heibei Province. He was born in 1952, entered the work force in 1968 and joined the PLA in 1970. He graduated from Navy Submarine Institute of Chinese People’s Liberation Army. He was the coxswain of Changzheng-3 nuclear submarine. Now, he is an alternate member of 17th CPC Central Committee. In 2006, he was promoted to be vice-admiral of the Navy. Since 2009, he serves as Deputy Chief of the General Staff, PLA.
